Sacred Reading and Listening Prayer:
Lectio Divina refers to the ancient practice of divine reading that dates back to the early mothers and fathers of the Christian faith. Lectio involves a slower, more reflective reading of Scripture that helps us to be open to God’s initiative rather than being subject to human agendas—our own or someone else’s. Through a delicate balance of silence and word, we enter into the rhythm of speaking and listening which is at the heart of intimate communication.
Saturday, Sept 21 – 9 am to 12 pm
Solitude and Silence:
Taking time to “step aside” and seek solitude and silence is essential for every soul today. This guided spiritual practice will create space in our busy world for a time to stop – be still – and listen to the Spirit of Jesus.
